Clarify!

This is coolbert:

“Let me clarify!!”

From the Chicago Tribune:

Washington, D.C.

Pace repeats belief gay sex immoral

Gen Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, caused a stir at the a Senate hearing Wednesday when he repeated his view that gay sex is immoral and should not be condoned by the military.

Pace said he was seeking to clarify similar remarks . . .

“‘We need to be very precise then, about what I said wearing my stars . . .’”

“‘And that is . . . that we should respect those who want to serve the nation , but not . . . condone activity that . . . is counter to God’s law.’”

There is a problem here with those that have a problem with Peter Pace.

Peter Pace is obviously a man of strong religious moral convictions and beliefs. Lives those beliefs and convictions. Behaving in a moral manner is part of his personality. This from the highest ranking U.S. military man. The U.S. public should consider ITSELF LUCKY TO HAVE A MAN SUCH AS PETER PACE AS CHAIRMAN OF THE JOINT CHIEFS!!

A military man having strong moral convictions, GENERALLY SPEAKING, IS NOT FOUND IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD!!

In Asian countries for instance, members of the military and police are quite often highly disliked and mistrusted. Felt to be abusive and corrupt, taking advantage of their position and power. Acting in a manner to the detriment of the society as a whole!

[and persons to BE FEARED TOO!! As in Burma, right now, as we speak!!]

Pace certainly is entitled to have strong moral convictions based upon his religious teachings, is he not??!!

[I know of no major [or minor for that matter] religious tradition anywhere, that condones even in the slightest manner homosexual sex!!]

The American people just seem to be too pre-occupied with trivialities and appearances and such. NOT concentrating on “serious matters”!! This is a perfect example!! The mass media in this country also seems to take a malicious, almost perverse delight in tripping up a high ranking member of the U.S. military and making that person appear as a fool!!

Peter Pace today retires. Good luck General. Your service is much appreciated!

coolbert.
