Military Theory II.

This is coolbert:

Du Puy lists twelve figures since the time of Napoleon whose writings have influenced modern [in the last two hundred years] military theory.

In chronological order:

* Clausewitz.

* Jomini.

* Mahan [Denis] the Elder.

* Moltke the Elder.

* du Picq.

* Mahan [Alfred] the Younger.

* Von Schlieffen.

* von der Goltz.

* Foch.

* Douhet.

* Fuller.

* Lanchester.

Modern American enthusiasts and those interested in military theory would add the name of Boyd.

I would add myself the name of Shaposhnikov.
